SECTION INTERNATIONALE BRITANNIQUE au lycée

La Section Internationale Britannique est une formation exigeante reconnue par l’Université de Cambridge et par le Ministère de l’éducation nationale français.

The British International Section is an exacting course of study recognized equally by the University of Cambridge (U.K.) and the Ministry of Education (France).

 

C’est la seule formation permettant l’obtention du Diplôme National de Brevet Option International en 3ème et en terminale le Baccalauréat OIB. Cette section accueille dans une même classe des élèves français et étrangers souhaitant développer
un profil international.

 

It is the only course of study that leads to the student obtaining the Diplôme National de Brevet Option International in 3è (Year 10 / Grade 9) and in Terminale (Year 13 / Grade 12) the Baccalauréat OIB. In this section French students and foreign students, whose objective is to develop an international profile, find themselves together in the same class.

Objectifs / Objectives

 

  • Faciliter l’accueil et l’intégration d’élèves étrangers dans le système éducatif français.
  • Former des élèves français à la pratique approfondie d’une langue étrangère en utilisant une
    pédagogie anglo-saxonne.
  • Favoriser la transmission du patrimoine culturel du Royaume-Uni.

 

  • To promote and facilitate the integration of foreign students into the French educational system
  • For French students, to develop their language skills via Anglo-Saxon pedagogy and teaching methods
  • To further the transmission of British cultural heritage through the study of English literature, history and geography

Conditions d’admission / Admissions Procedure

Remplir un dossier d’inscription « Section Internationale ». Les élèves recevront une convocation pour des tests d’admissibilité comportant les épreuves suivantes :

  • Tests de compréhension orale et écrite (durée 1h00).
  • Oral (durée 10 minutes).

 

Following the completion of the application document for admission to the “Section Internationale”, the applicant will receive written notification for the entrance tests which include:
• A listening and a writing test (1h30)
• An oral interview (10 mins)

Enseignements en 2nde / Seconde = Year 11 or Grade 10

  • 3h d’anglais (horaires du cursus classique)
  • + 2h d’Histoire-Géo en anglais (et 2h d’Histoire-Géo en français)
  • + 2h d’EPS en anglais
  • + 4h de littérature britannique en anglais

 

  •  3h English Language
  • + 2h History and Geography in English (and 2h History and Geography in French)
  • + 4h English Literature

Enseignements en 1re / Première = Year 12 or Grade 11

  • 2,5h d’anglais (horaires du cursus classique)
  • + 2h d’Histoire-Géo en anglais
  • + 4h de littérature britannique en anglais

 

  •  2.5h English Language
  • + 2h History and Geography in English
  • + 4h English Literature

Enseignements en Terminale / Terminale =Year 13 or Grade 12 (As from 2020)

  • 2h d’anglais (horaires du cursus classique)
  • + 3h d’Histoire-Géo en anglais
  • + 4h de littérature britannique en anglais

 

  •  2h English Language
  • + 2h History and Geography in English
  • + 4h English Literature

Examens, certifications et diplôme / Certificates and diplomas

  • Certifications en 2nde : F.C.E. (Cambridge English First) et I.G.C.S.E. (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)
  • Certification en 1re : TOEIC (Test Of English for International Communication)
  • Certifications en Terminale : Cambridge (Cambridge Advenced English Certificated) et TOEIC (Test Of English for International Communication)
  • Diplôme en Terminale : OIB, la seule formation qui permet la délivrance d’un Baccalauréat OIB (option internationale du baccalauréat)

À noter : la présentation pour l’obtention des certifications est ouverte à tous les élèves, même ceux qui ne suivent pas de parcours spécifiques.

  • Certificates in Première : TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
  • Certificates in Terminale : CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) and TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
  • Diplomas in Terminale : OIB the only course of study to accede to the Baccalauréat OIB (Option Internationale du Baccalauréat)
